Fernandez receives traditional greetings in the National Palace

Santo Domingo.- President Leonel Fernandez and Vice president Rafael Alburquerque received the traditional New Year greetings from personalities of various sectors, in the National Palace yesterday.

The exchange of greetings began 1:30pm in the Ambassadors Hall with cardinal Nicolas de Jesus Lopez Rodriguez, followed by monsignor Agripino Núñez Collado, and Vatican nuncio Josef Wesolowski.

Also present were the chief justices of the Supreme Court, Mariano German; of the Constitutional Courtm Milton Ray Guevara, and of the Electoral Superior Court, Mariano Rodriguez.

Fernandez also received greetings from his senior ministers, including of the Armed Forces, Joaquin Virgilio Feliz, and National Police chief Jose A. Polanco.

The President and Vice president were accompanied by their spouses, Margarita Cedeño and Martha Montes de Oca.
