Widely scattered showers, seasonably high temps

Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts widely scattered showers Monday afternoon and early evening for the Northeast and Southeast and Central Mountains, from a cloudbank dragged by the prevailing east wind and an approaching trough east of Puerto Rico.

It said the scattered showers will continue into Tuesday, more frequent in the afternoon over the Northeast, Southeast and Central Mountains.

Meteorology issued alerts for the Atlantic and Caribbean coasts on higher than normal waves, for which small craft should remain near shore.

Temperatures will range from a high of 32ºC to a low of 21°C.
