Malaria cases reported in South

Neiba,Bahoruco.- Several cases of malaria have been detected in Uvilla in Tamayo, provokingconcern among local residents. In response, the Provincial Health Board haslaunched a preventive campaign against the disease.

Healthofficials have expressed their concern at the community’s vulnerability asseveral people have been affected.

Themeasures include fumigation of mosquitoes that transmit malaria and advice forrelatives of those affected. Local residents expressed their appreciation forthe Health Ministry efforts.
