Police raid nabs still, bottles of bogus booze

Santo Domingo. – Police Investigators (DICRIM) on Tuesday raided an illegal distillery which made bogus booze of famous brands, risking the health of those who bought it.

The agents raided a house in the barrio Simon Bolivar, and are on the lookout for one "Julito" identified as the moonshiner, suspected of distilling more than 60 bottles of various brands of rums, vodka and whiskey, some of them with nothing more than a dark liquid.

Also seized were empty bottles of William Lawson’s, 20 bottle caps for Johnnie Walker Black Label 12 years, four labels of Dewar’s, bottles of Barceló rum, Platinum vodka, Grey Goose vodka, three empty bottles of Chivas Regal, among other items

The police added that noted that 20 cases of Johnnie Walker whiskey were also found in house were two empty cases of Buchanan Whisky.
