Scattered showers for east, south coasts through Saturday

Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorology Office (ONAMET) on Friday forecasts partly cloudy skies for the central, northeast and east region, with scattered showers for the Caribbean coast, from a trough southeast of the country.

It said the rains and thunderstorms will start Friday afternoon, increasing Saturday, from humidify dragged by the prevailing east wind, combined with the high altitude trough.

for the weekend, Onamet said the downpours will start early morning over the Caribbean coastline, the southwest, Central Mountains and border area, increasing toward noon, adding that they’ll decrease significantly in the interior on Sunday.
