Santo Domingo.- Hurricane Rafael moves quickly to the North-Northeast at 54 KPM, now 500 kilometers from Bermuda, while the surf along the north, northeast and east coasts returns to normal.

The Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts continuing thunderstorms and downpours in the afternoon and early evening, mainly for the Central Mountains, north, and northwest, less intense in the regions southeast and Northeast, from a trough and the prevailing east-southeast wind.

For tomorrow Thursday, Onamet said rains tend to decrease in intensity and frequency, mostly for the north, northwest, southeast and Central Mountains.
