Former president Mejia to announce whether he postulates

Santo Domingo.– Former Dominican president Hipolito Mejia said that before May 15 he will announce whether or not he joins the 2016 presidential race.

"I’ll tell you by May 15. We are going to have a campaign and there will be many candidates," Mejia told reporters.

The former president stated there are no frictions between him and Luis Abinader and claimed that despite rumors there are no differences regarding the presidential aspirations.

"I do not know why they insist on that. I can assure there are no frictions. Where I go, things are always clear and precise, unambiguous. (Miguel) Vargas is the only one who thinks he is the PRD owner," Hipolito said.
