National Health Insurance to enroll elderly

Santo Domingo.– In order to protect the elderly that are in a state of vulnerability and do not have adequate protection, the National Social Security Council (CNSS) authorized the program for National Health Insurance (Senasa) to directly enroll those elderly.

The elderly will receive benefits as long as they comply with the legal parameters established and they have their identity card and are not affiliated to the system, CNSS director Rafael Perez Modesto said.

According to Perez, this measure will have a positive impact on the quality of life of those that receive these benefits.
