Santo Domingo.- A trough southwest of Hispaniola and a nearly stationary frontal system over the Windward Passage will bring scattered showers, thunderstorms and gusts of wind to most regions except the eastern tip of the country.

The Meteorology Office said the rains will be more frequent Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning, but tapering off on Friday.

It also forecasts significantly improved surf conditions along the Atlantic coast, , for which restrictions on small craft have been lifted.
