Ex-president Fernandez is coy on bid for the Palace

Santo Domingo.- "Stay alert as to where the wind blows. Wait, wait," said former president Leonel Fernández when asked by when he’ill announce his presidential bid for the 2016 elections.

Fernández spoke at the National Palace after meeting with president Danilo Medina for more than one hour.

"That means that it’s at the Chamber of Deputies where the winds blows," Fernandez said about the 60 deputies who asked him to launch his candidacy,

The also president of the ruling PLD party said he met with Medina to inform him of various projects from investors abroad, especially high-tech. "It’s good that the President is aware of this and we had soken widely about the topic."
