DNCD agents seize dollars, thwart drug transaction

Santo Domingo.- Antinarcotics (DNCD) agents seized US$124,500 during an operation that thwarted a drug transaction in a parking lot at 27 de Febrero avenue and in a home search in an apartment at Carlos II condo in the Alma Rosa sector, Santo Domingo East .

DNCD spokesman Miguel Medina said the detainees are Valerio Ernesto Reyes, Freddy Antonelly Reyes and Carlos Cesar Carela Mejia.

The report says the first US$62,000 were found inside a backpack hidden in a Nissan Murano, plate number G229951, which one of the suspects was driving moments before attempting to perform the drug transaction in the Quisqueya sector.
