Various events mark 168 years since 1st constitution

Santo Domingo.- Various events today will mark the 168th anniversary of the proclamation of Dominican Republic’s first constitution, read in San Cristóbal (south).

San Cristobal’s Municipal Band will kick off the ceremonies at 6am, continuing with the hoisting of the flag at the Provincial Government Palace at 8am.

A mass will be held at the Church of Our Lady of Consolation one hour later, and concluding with a parade from the church to the City Council, starting at 9:30am.
