Low magnitude tremors stir the southeast

Santo Domingo.- A magnitude 3.5 tremor has stirred Dominican Republic’s extreme southeastern region Monday afternoon, according to the US Geodetic Survey.

It said the tremor was located 55 kilometers south-southeast of Boca de Yuma, Altagracia province, and occurred at 10:04UTC (4pm local time)/

The USGS added that the tremor –one of three similar quakes in the last 24 hours- was located at 17.930°N latitude, 68.382°W longitude, at a depth of 59 kilometers.
