More interviews for Constitutional Court benches

Santo Domingo.-The National Magistrate Council (CNM) Tuesday night held its third public interviews to select the Constitutional Court (TC) justices, headed by president Leonel Fernandez, and without Senate president Reinaldo Pared, who is out of the country.

The session held in the National Palace ended shortly after 12:30am, with 118 candidates interviewed thus far, including those who seek benches in the Superior Electoral Court, with 62 more yet to be evaluated.

Of last night’s candidates there are nine judges, the director of the Titles Registry, civil society personality and ex diplomats.

The session began with Bernardo Manuel Diaz, whose statements prompted several questions from all the members of the CNM.

Also evaluated were Ángel Gregorio Encarnación, Napoleón Ricardo Estévez, Rosa Luisa Fernández, Indira Fernández Marcano, Aura Celeste Fernández, Rafael De Gaulle Adolfo Frett, Francisca García de Fadul and Domingo Antonio Gil.

Also Víctor Adriano Gómez, Cecilio Esmeraldo Gómez, Wilson Silfrido Gómez, Ramón Horacio González, Juan Manuel Guerrero, Julián Antonio Henríquez and Sergio Antonio Ortega.
