DT poll: Fernandez can help ruling party candidate

Santo Domingo.- A clear majority of Dominican Today readers believe that president Leonel Fernandez can help the campaign of his ruling party colleague Danilo Medina, who tapped the First Lady Margarita Cedeño as his running mate last week.

In response to the weekly survey question: “Should president Fernandez campaign for his party’s candidate?,” 262 readers (62.8%) voted “Yes, he could help Danilo Medina a lot.”

The second most voted response was “Yes, but only behind the scenes,” with 67, or 16.07% of those polled in the unscientific survey.

Tied for third place was “No, he could only hurt his chances,” and “Who cares, I’ll vote for the other guy,” both with 44 votes, or 10.55%, of the total 417 readers who took part.
