Agents seize 330 bricks of cocaine at Haina Port

Santo Domingo.- The National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) seized 330 bricks of cocaine at the port of Haina Oriental, Santo Domingo.

The drugs distributed in eight sacks arrived aboard a container ship from Barranquilla, Colombia, the Agency said.

Agency spokesman Miguel Medina said the DNCD agents found the drug during an inspection of 70 containers.

He said the drug in nylon sacks which arrived on the ship Warnow Whale from Colombia were found in a 40-foot container, adding that the confiscation was the result of an investigation which he affirms will now be expanded.
