Courtyard by Marriott Santo Domingo Piantini welcomes first guests

Santo Domingo.- On February 22, the newly inaugurated Courtyard by Marriott Santo Domingo Piantini hotel welcomed its first guests, officially commencing its operations.

Representing an investment of approximately US$30 million, this 17-level hotel situated on Freddy Prestol Castillo Street at the intersection with Porfirio Herrera features 160 rooms across five distinct categories. The facility boasts a rooftop bar with an infinity pool on the 18th floor, a restaurant, event spaces, conference rooms, underground parking offering 100 spaces, and a fully equipped gym.

José Martí, the corporate director of operations at Real Hotels & Resorts, expressed that “the opening of this new hotel signifies significant growth for Grupo Poma and its hotel division, marking the third establishment in the Dominican Republic and the 22nd for Real Hotels and Resorts.”

“Santo Domingo holds special significance for us, being the first city where Real Hotels & Resorts manages three hotels, as they are typically located in different cities,” Martí added.

Heading the Courtyard by Marriott Santo Domingo Piantini team is Isabel Hernández, the general manager, who emphasized that “every detail has been meticulously designed to ensure an exceptional lodging experience for both business and leisure travelers.”

Situated in the heart of Santo Domingo’s business and entertainment center, the contemporary-style hotel offers unique features that, combined with the renowned Marriott International brand, present visitors with a choice distinguished by infrastructure, services, prime location, quality, and the utmost in restful accommodations.
