Showers, seasonably high temps for most of the country

Santo Domingo.- The National Weather Office (Onamet) forecasts downpours for most of the country starting Monday afternoon due to the moisture left by the frontal system now over the North Atlantic.

It said the seasonably high temperatures will be felt throughout the day and well into the evening.

It said a new trough will again bring scattered showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday over most of the country.

Onamet said a tropical wave approaching from the Lesser Antilles will be crossing the Caribbean Sea during the next few days, but doesn’t expect any effect for the country.
