INTRANT and PedidosYa executives talk for regulatory alignment

Santo Domingo.- The acting director of the National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (Intrant) conducted a meeting with executives from the digital platform “PedidosYa Dominican Republic.”

During this session, discussions encompassed various topics related to traffic and the platform’s operations in the country. An initial agreement was reached with a focus on implementing immediate actions to reduce accidents and incidents among drivers while the regulatory process unfolds.

Participants in the meeting included Intrant’s executive director, Colonel Randolfo Rijo Gómez, ERD; Colonels Harold Jiménez (ERD), deputy executive director of the 911 System, and César Medina, director of Supervision and Control of Road Sanctions.

Additionally, Aníbal Germoso, director of Intrant Road Safety; Martín Santana, director of Technology of the 911 System; and Carlos De León, director of the institution’s cabinet were present.

Rijo Gómez emphasized the meeting’s significance for transit improvement, underscoring the value of collaborative efforts with the sector, which he deemed crucial for the country’s economy.

During the Intrant headquarters meeting, initiatives by the institution for road safety were shared, including training programs conducted by the National School of Road Education (Enevial), which features an extensive program encompassing motorcyclist training.
