Punta Cana – One year after its opening, Katmandu Park Punta Cana closed its doors.
“Katmandu Park Punta Cana closes immediately. The commercial stores and restaurant will remain operational,” reads the post published Thursday morning, in which they let it be known that they will consider the “future use of the property,” indicates a statement shared on the theme park’s official website and social networks.
“We extend our thanks to all of our customers who have enjoyed the park this past year. For more information contact: reservas@katmanduparks.com,” the communication concludes.
Katmandu Park Punta Cana was inaugurated in February 2023 in a ceremony led by the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader. As reported at the time, the theme park had an investment of more than US$60 million.
The park featured innovative rides and attractions, the first of its kind, which immersed visitors in the company’s original and proprietary franchise, The Hidden Realms of Katmandu.
