Arajet dominating with 77% of passengers among Dominican airlines

Santo Domingo.- Caribbean budget airline Arajet announced today that it carried 77% of the passengers on Dominican airlines in February, solidifying its position as the leading national airline. This achievement coincides with the commemoration of its second anniversary on March 14, during which Arajet has successfully established a robust network across the American continent, serving 23 routes in 16 countries.

The latest report from the Civil Aviation Board (JAC) revealed these statistics, underscoring Arajet’s significant leadership among national airlines. In February, Arajet transported 55,607 passengers, while SkyHigh Aviation secured a distant second place with 10,682 passengers, and Air Century ranked third with only 4,404 passengers.

Víctor Pacheco Méndez, CEO & Founder of Arajet, expressed gratitude to passengers who have chosen Arajet for their travels, allowing them to explore new experiences aboard the airline’s comfortable and modern aircraft.

“At Arajet, we are committed to consistently providing a service with the highest quality standards to fulfill our goal of democratizing the skies by connecting from the southern cone to North America,” said Pacheco Méndez.

Pacheco Méndez also emphasized that the official JAC figures should include passengers in transit or connections. According to the company’s calculations, this represents approximately 21,000 additional passengers, positioning Arajet as the second airline with the highest passenger traffic at Las Américas International Airport, surpassing even larger traditional airlines.
