Downpours, thunderstorms continue over much of the country

Santo Domingo.- The National Weather Office (ONAMET) forecasts continuing downpours Wednesday with thunderstorms for much of the country, from trough over the national territory.

It said that rainfall will be more frequent and intense on the northwest, north and northeast and Central Mountains, where they’re expected to increase Thursday.

Onamet forecasts mostly sunny skies over the weekend, as the trough will begin to weaken Friday.

Meanwhile flash flood warnings continue for the central and northern provinces.
