Punta Cana International Airport honored with Airport Service Quality Award

Punta Cana.- For the eighth consecutive year, Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) has been honored with the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) award by the Airports Council International (ACI). Recognized as the “Best Airport by Size and Region” in the category of 5 to 15 million passengers per year in the Caribbean and Latin America, PUJ stands among the world’s top airports, as judged by travelers’ experiences.

Frank Elías Rainieri, President and CEO of Grupo Punta Cana, expressed pride in receiving this accolade, attributing it to the dedication and commitment of the entire airport community. “Every day, we strive to provide our visitors with a safe and enjoyable travel experience. This achievement is a testament to the collective effort of everyone involved in making our airport a symbol of excellence.”

“The passenger is at the heart of everything we do, and this is reflected in the ASQ awards,” added Rainieri.

Luis Felipe de Oliveira, Director General of ACI World, congratulated the entire PUJ team, stating, “Congratulations! Your passengers have spoken and recognized your team’s successful efforts in delivering an excellent customer experience.”

This prestigious award acknowledges the quality and excellence of airports worldwide that offer exceptional experiences to travelers, with Punta Cana International Airport being the first in the Dominican Republic to achieve and maintain this recognition for eight consecutive years.

The ASQ awards represent the highest honor for airport operators, distinguishing the world’s best airports for excellence in management and traveler service, as determined by the Traveler Satisfaction Survey conducted by ACI.
