Abinader responds to Elon Musk inviting him to DR

Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader responded to a publication by Elon Musk, extending a warm invitation for Musk to visit the Dominican Republic and discover its technological and advanced manufacturing capabilities.

“In response to your tweet, @elonmusk, I agree that our smart perimeter fence initiative between the Dominican Republic and Haiti is indeed an intriguing project currently in progress, enhancing our country’s security,” stated Abinader.

However, the President emphasized that the technological and manufacturing prowess within the country’s free zones would be even more captivating for the visionary entrepreneur.

“I believe you will find our technological manufacturing capabilities in free zones particularly fascinating. With a highly skilled workforce and robust infrastructure, we are primed to support advanced manufacturing,” added Abinader.

Concluding his message, Abinader extended the invitation: “I welcome you to visit the Dominican Republic whenever convenient for you to witness firsthand and explore potential opportunities.” He also utilized the hashtag #DRisOpenForBusiness, underscoring the nation’s eagerness to attract investments from leading companies.

This invitation aligns with the government’s ongoing initiatives to position the Dominican Republic as a compelling destination for innovation and high-tech manufacturing in the region.
