Special Easter holiday hours for public institutions

Santo Domingo.- In observance of the forthcoming Holy Week holiday, the Ministry of Public Administration (MAP) has issued a directive outlining adjusted working hours for public institutions. According to this directive, on Wednesday the 27th of this month, commonly known as Holy Wednesday, public institutions will operate until noon.

The directive, conveyed through a circular bearing the signature of Minister Darío Castillo Lugo, empowers heads of public entities to tailor work schedules and arrangements to suit the exigencies of their respective functions and services. This flexibility is aimed at ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of essential services to citizens during this period.

Minister Castillo Lugo underscored the significance of Holy Week as a time for contemplation and familial bonding. He urged those intending to avail themselves of this break to adhere to safety guidelines issued by both the Civil Defense and the Emergency Operations Center (COE), particularly if engaging in leisure activities such as visits to spas.

Regular working hours for public institutions will resume on Monday, April 1, marking the conclusion of the holiday period.
