Applebee’s expansion: new Coral Mall branch

Santo Domingo.- The esteemed Applebee’s restaurant franchise has unveiled its third branch in the country, situated in the Coral Mall plaza in the municipality of Santo Domingo East. This expansion aims to provide top-quality services to the entire eastern region while contributing to economic growth, job creation, and community development.

Raymond Rodríguez Jr., general manager of Marysof is Good, the franchise owner in the country, emphasized that the new establishment offers a celebratory atmosphere for friends and family, where each guest is valued. He highlighted the brand’s potential for growth, driven by the positive reception from its audience.

“We are proud to introduce Applebee’s Coral Mall here in Santo Domingo. This location was chosen strategically due to the city’s development and growth potential, as well as the modernization in this part of our country. This expansion brings economic growth and benefits for everyone,” said Rodríguez.

He noted the dedication of Applebee’s staff, both local collaborators and international franchise personnel, in delivering consistent and exceptional service to guests.

Raymond Rodríguez, president of the GBC group, expressed gratitude to the municipality of Santo Domingo East and the country for their support. William Urrego, Senior Vice President of International Operations for Dinebrands Global, commended the franchise’s expansion, citing Applebee’s global presence with over 1,800 stores.

Urrego also acknowledged the Rodríguez family for their investment in the brand in the Dominican Republic and presented a recognition to Raymond Rodríguez Jr. for his successful management of the franchise.

The opening ceremony of Applebee’s Coral Mall was attended by notable figures including Mrs. Carmen Rodríguez, Vice President of the GBC group; Pedro Ramirez, Administrative Manager of Marysof is Good; Carolina Bueno, Applebee’s RD Operations Manager; as well as journalists and businessmen.

Situated on the Coronel Rafael Tomás Fernández Domínguez highway, formerly San Isidro highway, the new establishment is expected to create over 50 direct jobs and more than 100 indirect jobs. Moreover, it sources 85% of its ingredients locally, showcasing a commitment to supporting the local economy.
