Emergency contacts for Holy Week 2024

Santo Domingo.- As the Holy Week 2024 unfolds, the Dominican government and emergency agencies have implemented a range of measures to prevent traffic accidents, alcohol poisoning, food-related illnesses, drowning incidents, and other common occurrences during the holiday period.

In addition to the restrictions imposed by the Emergency Operations Center (COE), various helpline numbers have been made available to the public starting this Thursday, offering assistance round-the-clock in case of emergencies.

Key emergency contacts include:

National Emergency and Security Assistance System, reachable at 9-1-1.

Roadside Assistance can be reached by dialing 829-688-1000.

For assistance from the Civil Defense, individuals can call 809-472-8614.

The General Directorate of Traffic and Land Transportation Security (DIGESETT) can be contacted at 809-686-6520.

Meanwhile, those in need of assistance from the National Police (PN) can call 809-682-2151.
