Duartiano Institute rejects accusations by Amnesty International

Santo Domingo.- Wilson Gómez Ramírez, the president of the Duartiano Institute, vehemently rejected accusations leveled against the Dominican Republic by Amnesty International regarding discrimination against Haitians, alleged Dominican descendants of Haitians, and Black individuals.

Gómez Ramírez dismissed these accusations as part of an ongoing campaign by international organizations and figures aimed at tarnishing the image of the Dominican Nation. He lamented the detrimental impact of these false claims on the country’s reputation and expressed concern over the lack of action from the Dominican government to address and refute them.

The patriotic organization’s president emphasized that such falsehoods are continuously propagated, undermining the Dominican people’s solidarity and goodwill. He urged for a diplomatic offensive to counteract the misinformation and distortions circulated about the country.
