La Romana, DR.- The National Emergency and Security Assistance System 911 reported on Friday its coordination of assistance for a traffic accident involving seven vehicles along a section of the Eastern Highway in the Villa Hermosa sector of La Romana province.
911 swiftly deployed response units to manage the incident, including four ambulances from the Directorate of Out-of-Hospital Emergency Services (DAEH), a truck from the municipality’s Fire Department, a unit from the National Police, and three units from the General Directorate of Traffic and Land Transportation Security (DIGESETT). Additionally, two patrol units from the Military and Police Commission (COMIPOL) were dispatched to the scene.
Personnel on-site attended to several individuals who were subsequently transported to nearby health centers for medical attention. The situation is currently evolving, with ongoing efforts to address the aftermath of the accident.
