Unibe reopens Dental Clinic in Postgraduate Unit

Santo Domingo.- The Ibero-American University, Unibe, along with its School of Dentistry, unveiled the newly inaugurated facilities of the Dental Clinic within the Postgraduate Unit. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and modern amenities, the clinic underscores the institution’s dedication to innovation, academic distinction, and its ongoing endeavor to positively impact society through top-notch dental services.

The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Víctor Atallah, Minister of Public Health, alongside academic and administrative dignitaries from Unibe, including Gustavo Batista, Jorge Olivero, Juan Carlos Martínez, and Dr. Odile Camilo Vincent, the rector. Also in attendance were members of the dental clinic team, representatives from the health sector, and higher education, who partook in a guided tour of the revamped facilities.

During her address, Dr. Ana María Carpio, the administrative director of the dental clinic, emphasized the significance of oral health not only for physical well-being but also for confidence and dignity. She emphasized the clinic’s commitment to ensuring patients’ comprehensive well-being. Additionally, Dr. Carpio announced the clinic’s affiliation with the National Health Insurance, Senasa, marking it as the first university dental clinic in the country to join this institution.

“We are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of care and specialized dental services, fostering innovation, and advancing research,” affirmed Dr. Carpio.

The gathering also provided an opportunity to honor exceptional educators from Unibe’s Dentistry postgraduate programs for their invaluable contributions to both the institution and the dental community of the Dominican Republic.

With a focus on nurturing innovative professionals through six postgraduate programs and a team of expert faculty, the Unibe School of Dentistry has solidified its position as a local leader in academic excellence and community service provision.
