Government’s pact with 25 political organizations in RD Avanza coalition

Santo Domingo.- Luis Abinader, the presidential candidate of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) and its allies, marked the culmination of four transformative years and outlined his vision for further societal change during the signing of an expansive programmatic agreement with 25 political organizations forming the RD Avanza coalition.

Asserting that the upcoming term would witness unprecedented reforms benefiting Dominican society, Abinader emphasized the comprehensive improvements across all sectors of public administration. He pledged to convene a national pact post-election, aiming to propel the country’s development beyond his tenure.

Among the coalition’s 20 programmatic points, Abinader highlighted commitments to bolster border security and enhance the Dominican immigration system while upholding human rights. Expressing optimism despite inevitable challenges, he underscored the coalition’s collective resolve to surmount obstacles together.

Anticipating a historic electoral outcome, Abinader urged leaders to mobilize voters to secure a decisive victory, essential for advancing institutional and social progress. Emphasizing the need for widespread voter turnout, he called on every Dominican to exercise their democratic right on Election Day.

Abinader stressed the importance of a majority Congress supportive of national interests, emphasizing the significance of voting for hope, optimism, and patriotism.

The event, attended by the presidents of the 25 coalition organizations, featured Vice-Presidential candidate Raquel Peña, First Lady Raquel Arbaje, PRM President José Ignacio Paliza, General Secretary Carolina Mejía, and members of the alliance commission.

The agreement, signed by diverse political entities including the PRM, Dominicans for Change, and the Popular Democratic Party, reflects a commitment to democratic consolidation, citizen well-being, and national prosperity. It underscores the coalition’s dedication to transparency, accountability, and sustainable development.

Endorsing Abinader’s leadership and the coalition’s shared objectives, the signatories affirmed their commitment to advancing democratic values, economic growth, social justice, and environmental sustainability.

Signed in Santo Domingo de Guzmán, the agreement signifies a unified effort to propel the Dominican Republic towards a future characterized by progress, opportunity, and inclusive development.
