Villa Juana: cradle of garbage and crime

Santo Domingo – In Villa Juana, it is not only crime that attacks the residents of this sector of the capital, where at least one man was killed on May 21. Also, the accumulation of garbage and sewage threatens the health of students, especially children and the elderly.

The inhabitants denounce the unsustainable situation and demand urgent measures from the authorities to eliminate the dump located in front of the Dominican Republic school in order to prevent the spread of diseases such as dengue fever.

The community calls for the implementation of an efficient and sustainable waste management plan and awareness campaigns. Residents insist that this health threat can no longer be ignored and call for immediate action to ensure a safe and clean environment.

Criminal act
Relatives of the young Wilson Almonte, murdered last Monday asked the National Police to find the whereabouts of Daniel Martinez (alias El Mochito), accused of killing their loved one in the Villa Juana sector.
