National Police bolster security on Saona Island

Saona Island.- On Sunday morning, the General Directorate of the National Police (PN) enhanced security measures on Saona Island by delivering a motorcycle and flags for preventive service.

Colonel Héctor José Lora Arias, representing Major General Ramón Antonio Guzmán Peralta, Director General of the National Police, oversaw the delivery in San Rafael de Yuma.

Pedro Gálvez, President of the Neighborhood Council of the Mano Juan sector, expressed gratitude for the contribution, emphasizing its significance in enhancing security for residents and visitors.

Colonel Lora Arias emphasized the importance of utilizing the new motorcycle effectively to ensure community safety. He reaffirmed the commitment of the National Police to safeguarding all Dominicans, pledging continued efforts to make Saona Island a safe environment for all.

The event was attended by local authorities and community members, underscoring the collaborative approach to security enhancement.

The addition of the motorcycle will enable more efficient patrolling of Saona Island by the National Police. Additionally, the raised flags at the National Police headquarters serve as a visible symbol of their presence and commitment to maintaining security in the area.
