President Abinader to attend Ukraine Peace Summit in Switzerland

Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader is set to travel to Switzerland this Friday to participate in the Summit on Peace in Ukraine, which will take place this weekend and feature heads of state, government leaders, and representatives from over 90 countries.

The Dominican president’s departure is scheduled for the afternoon, heading to Zurich, and from there he will proceed to Lucerne, where the summit will be held.

Accompanying President Abinader will be Minister of Foreign Affairs Roberto Álvarez, the head of the General Secretariat of the President’s Cabinet Eilyn Beltran, Major General Jimmy Arias of the Presidential Security Corps, and the President’s Press Director Daniel García Archibald.

The summit, occurring on June 15 and 16, will include work sessions on critical topics such as Food Security.

President Abinader is expected to return on Sunday night.
