DGA launches new online services platform

Santo Domingo.- The IT Management and Projects Department recently hosted a workshop titled “DGA Services Platform” to introduce taxpayers to the benefits of a new tool designed for easy and secure transaction processing. This tool is integrated with key systems such as the Integrated Customs Management System (SIGA) and the Single Trade Window (VUCE).

Deputy Director General of Technology, Daniel Peña, representing General Director of Customs Eduardo Sanz Lovatón, emphasized the commitment to modernizing and strengthening the entity. “This tool reaffirms our dedication to transparency and efficiency in our services for taxpayers,” Peña said.

Manuel Sánchez, head of Project Management and IT, explained that the initiative, launched in October 2022, now has 24,852 registered users with over 50 interactive services available on both the website and the DGA RD APP. The goal is to automate all Customs services, simplifying processes and reducing bureaucratic procedures. “With the DGA RD APP or the website, taxpayers can complete processes without visiting the institution, saving time and costs,” Sánchez noted.

The platform offers services in three categories: general, import, and export, subdivided into transactional and informational, covering automated processes of various DGA departments.

Zero Bureaucracy Initiative

Aligned with President Luis Abinader’s Zero Bureaucracy Program (Decree No. 640-20), the platform aims to enhance Public Administration efficiency through clear and transparent regulatory frameworks, simplifying procedures and services for better taxpayer support.
