Iberojet launches new Lisbon-La Romana route

La Romana, DR.- Iberojet airline has launched a new Lisbon – La Romana – Lisbon route, offering service every Wednesday from June 26 until September 11.

The Barceló Group’s airline, through its travel division Ávoris, aims to boost tourism in the popular resort of La Romana with this new operation. The first flight brought in 362 passengers, according to arecoa.com.

Iberojet uses its Airbus A330-300 for the connection, configured with a capacity of 388 seats.

Ávoris executives noted that the flight currently boasts one of the best long-haul occupancy rates for the summer of 2024. Approximately 50% of the passengers on the inaugural flight headed to hotels in La Romana, while the other 50% went to hotels in Punta Cana-Bávaro.
