Dominican sprinter Marileidy Paulino remains undefeated in the Diamond League

Paris.- Dominican sprinter Marileidy Paulino easily claimed victory in the Diamond League at its stop in Paris, France this Sunday in the 400-meter dash.

Marileidy won with a time of 49.20 in the women’s 400 meters, maintaining her dominance throughout the season. This result further excites the Dominican mission for the Olympic Games that begin in a couple of weeks in Paris.

Currently, Marileidy is ranked number one in the world in the 400 meters with 1,472 points, according to the World Athletics ranking, updated on June 12.

Ogando also chasing the Olympic dream in Paris

Alexander Ogando revives his Olympic podium bid in Paris 2024 with a sub-20 second race (19.98) to win gold in the 200-meter dash at the French stop of the Diamond League.

“Winning my first Diamond League race makes me feel very happy and proud,” Ogando said after dominating today and beating Ugandan Tarsis Orogot (20.18) and Frenchman Ryan Zeze (20.46).
