Santiago, DR.- A human trafficking, pimping, and sexual exploitation network was dismantled in Santiago through 15 coordinated raids. Authorities rescued 40 Colombian women who were victims of these crimes.

The operations were conducted by the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Human Trafficking, the Santiago Prosecutor’s Office, and the National Police, targeting the Los Rieles and Gurabo sectors.

During the raids, authorities arrested the two main leaders of the network responsible for exploiting the women. A representative from the Public Prosecutor’s Office announced that more details about the case will be provided soon.
