OAS accuses Maduro regime of mocking international community

The Organization of American States (OAS) stated that the Venezuelan government failed to provide guarantees for a transparent electoral process, which would ensure that the results were respected.

“The Maduro regime has deceived significant international actors over the years and once again conducted an electoral process lacking guarantees, mechanisms, or procedures to enforce those guarantees,” the OAS said in a statement.

The OAS report highlighted illegalities, flaws, and bad practices observed during the electoral process, noting that these issues have been recurring in recent elections in Venezuela. The report suggested that a complete manual for fraudulent handling of electoral results was applied, often in a rudimentary manner.
