Santo Domingo.- Arajet, the Caribbean’s budget airline, has teamed up with Boeing to launch the second round of its Cadet Pilot Program. This program is designed to train young Dominicans for successful careers in the country’s aviation industry.

Emmanuel Lopez and Aníbal Báez have been selected for this year’s program. Both candidates passed rigorous tests in skills, simulation, and aviation knowledge. They will now undergo world-class training to become first officers.

Arajet CEO Victor Pacheco Méndez said, “This program reflects our commitment to building a strong team of Dominican pilots. We want to develop local aviation expertise and contribute to the growth of our industry.”

He added, “To be the leading airline, we must invest in our people. Training Dominican pilots and technicians is essential for our success.”

The cadets will start their training at Arajet and have the opportunity to advance to captain positions. They expressed gratitude for the chance to gain valuable experience and prepare for careers in commercial aviation.

Arajet aims to continue this program to support the growth of Dominican aviation and position the country as a major Caribbean travel hub.
