Probability of tropical wave becoming cyclone rises to 40%

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) has raised the likelihood of a tropical wave in the Atlantic Ocean developing into a tropical cyclone to 40% over the next week.

In its latest update, the NHC noted that the tropical system, currently under observation, has a substantial chance of acquiring cyclonic characteristics as it progresses across the Atlantic. This increase in probability has heightened attention for regions that may be impacted by this potential development.

The NHC will keep monitoring the system’s progress and provide regular updates to inform the public of any changes in the formation probability and the potential path of the cyclone.
