Surinamese President arrives for Abinader’s swearing-in ceremony

Santo Domingo.- Surinamese President Chandrikapersad Santokhi arrived in the Dominican Republic tonight to attend the swearing-in ceremony of President Luis Abinader for his second term.

Santokhi landed at 7:03 p.m. at José Francisco Peña Gómez International Airport, accompanied by his wife, Melissa Santokhi, Suriname’s Foreign Minister Albert R. Ramdin, and a delegation.

President Abinader’s swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Eduardo Brito National Theater, marking the beginning of his second term, which will extend until 2028 and continue the public policies of his current administration.
