JICA to support construction of Ozama River bridge

Santo Domingo.- The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will contribute to the construction of a fifth bridge over the Ozama River to enhance traffic flow between the National District and Santo Domingo Este.

Minister of Public Works and Communications, Deligne Ascención, met with Sakaguchi Kota to discuss the project. They covered topics including pre-feasibility studies, the bridge’s design, and technical cooperation for bridge maintenance, particularly for rural bridges.

Minister Ascención expressed his hope for continued support from JICA, which has been assisting the Dominican Republic for 60 years.
