Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader welcomed former baseball player Alex Rodríguez to the National Palace on Wednesday afternoon for a discussion covering various national and international topics.
Rodríguez arrived at the palace at 5:30 p.m. with his entourage and was escorted to the Meeting Room, where he met with President Abinader. The conversation lasted for about an hour.
It is worth noting that Rodríguez, a minority owner of the Minnesota NBA team, has previously expressed interest in having his team play in the Dominican Republic. President Abinader enthusiastically supported the idea, sharing his excitement about a potential NBA exhibition game in the country on his X account.
