Guatemalan President arrives for swearing-in ceremony

Santo Domingo.- Guatemalan President Bernardo Arévalo arrived in the Dominican Republic this Thursday to participate in the swearing-in ceremonies for President Luis Abinader. The events will kick off tonight with a reception for heads of state and government, first ladies, crown princes, vice presidents, delegation leaders, and special mission invitees.

On the same day, Bahamian Prime Minister Philip Edward Davis also arrived in the country. Both leaders will take part in the activities marking the beginning of President Abinader’s second constitutional term.

They arrived on private flights at José Francisco Peña Gómez International Airport, accompanied by their respective delegations.
