Scattered showers, thunderstorms in the afternoon, early evening

Santo Domingo.- The National Weather Office on Monday forecast scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and early evening, from a trough over the Windward Passage and the humidity dragged by the East/Southeast wind.

It said the showers will be mostly over Santiago Rodríguez, San Juan de la Maguana, Dajabón, Elías Piñas, La Vega, Monte Plata, El Seibo and Hato Mayor, and partly cloudy skies for the remaining provinces.

For Tuesday morning, the Weather Office forecasts another tropical wave over southern Puerto Rico, which will bring a slight increase in rainfall.
