Santo Domingo.- The Presidential Spokesperson and Director of Strategy and Communication, Homero Figueroa, clarified that the Dominican Republic’s government will not present the draft fiscal pact next Monday. This clarification follows misinterpretations of recent remarks made by the Director General of the Budget, José Rijo, regarding the timeline for the pact.
In an official statement, Figueroa explained that Rijo’s reference to “the next few weeks” was mistakenly understood as indicating an imminent presentation. Figueroa emphasized that the government will announce the exact date for the formal presentation of the fiscal pact at the appropriate time, ensuring a well-organized and informed process.
