Fire breaks out at Club Med Punta Cana

Punta Cana.- A fire broke out early this Thursday morning at Club Med Punta Cana, starting around 5:00 a.m. The flames quickly spread across the complex, impacting several areas including the reception, main restaurant, and pool bar. Various agencies, including the Punta Cana and Higüey Fire Departments, along with local airport personnel, responded to the incident.

Tourists staying at the club were safely evacuated and are currently housed in nearby hotels. As of now, the exact cause of the fire and the full extent of the damage remain unclear.

Authorities have managed to bring the blaze under control, and fortunately, no casualties have been reported.
