Riyadh.- The Dominican Embassy in Saudi Arabia held its first coordination meeting to enhance cooperation between the Saudi Baseball and Softball Federation (SBSF) and the Dominican National Baseball Commissioner. The meeting aimed to establish a roadmap for technical collaboration, sports exchanges, and visits to support the development of baseball in Saudi Arabia.
Ambassador Andy Rodríguez Durán emphasized that these efforts will foster major sporting achievements, investment, and job creation through the hiring of Dominican coaches and players, while promoting baseball in the Middle East. The virtual meeting included key figures like Dominican Junior Commissioner Junior Noboa and Saudi Federation President Nayef Binhumaid.
Rodríguez Durán reiterated the Dominican Republic’s leadership in baseball and its potential to contribute to Saudi Arabia’s baseball development. A visit by Saudi officials to the Dominican Republic is planned for December to further strengthen these ties.
