Hot, sunny skies Monday; possible showers Tuesday

Santo Domingo.- The National Weather Office (Onamet) forecasts sunny skies over most of the country Monday, “because of tropical conditions that preclude any precipitation.”

"Precipitation of importance will be limited at the start of the workweek due to the incursion of an air mass with low moisture from the Caribbean area,” Onamet said.

It adds that the dust from the Sahara will significantly decrease over the national territory starting Tuesday, which will increase the Southeast wind’s moisture and possible afternoon showers.
